Fractaland - Full Dome Project

I took some fun elective classes this last year at school, experimental imaging, and immersive media. In these classes I got to break away from still-image 2D illustration work and play around with motion and 3D software. I took experimental imaging in the fall and explored creating several videos using After Effects, Photoshop, Alchemy and a 3D fractal program called Mandelbulb3d. In the spring semester, I produced a video that combined all the elements that I learned in the fall and was shown on a state of the art, hemispheric dome projection system at Bishop Planetarium as part of the Cosmix 2015 show.

General Motors Speedform

I had a great opportunity to take a class at Ringling that linked us with mentors from General Motors. Our goal for the semester was to make a speedform which is an abstract shape that conveys a certain aesthetic. I went for a graceful yet aggressive look. After a lot of brainstorming and iterations I came to a final form that I digitally sculpted in Zbrush and then made a physical model out of clay.

Wave Race Redesign

As a part of my senior project, I created a series of pieces based around redesigning an old Nintendo 64 game, Wave Race. There were a variety of different levels where players could race jet skis through various obstacles. I decided to update the look of the game to a modern level of fidelity while still retaining arcade-style levels. I redesigned an existing level and created some new ones of my own that I think would be fun to play. Below are some selected works, view the rest on my Behance.
